World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. WWKIPDAY is unique, in that it’s the largest knitter-run event in the world. In 2005, there were about 25 local events around the world. In 2016, there were 1015 in 57 countries!
In 2022, Fidalgo Artisan Yarn & Clothing had over 40 knitters join our KIP. 2023 will be our 6th WWKIP and we will again host our traditional “Knitting Along Commercial”. The shop will offer a free pattern developed for this event, 10% off the featured yarn and shop prizes for those who register.
