The History of Skagit Punk

February 24 @ 8:00 pm

Lincoln Theatre

THE HISTORIC LINCOLN THEATRE PRESENTS ONE NIGHT WITH SHANE GILDNES: FANNY ALGER, STAGNANT WATER, AND THE HISTORY OF SKAGIT PUNK

Listen up, crusties, cavers, wavers, skaters, hardcore kids, and anarchists: This is your story.

Skagit Valley music legend Shane Gildnes has been part of the Northwest punk scene for decades, most notably as the driving force behind both Stagnant Water and Fanny Alger. Now, finally, the Lincoln has caught up with him, and he’s hitting our stage with both of these bands for a night of noisy music interspersed with Shane’s stories of Skagit’s punk rock scene from ever since it was a thing — when we were all smaller and our hair was weirder.

Everyone is welcome! Learn about Mount Vernon’s counter-culture legacy and party like it’s 1989.

Remember: if it’s too loud, you’re just not deaf enough yet. It’s time to hit the barricades.

Please note: The first three rows of seats will be removed to make room for the pit.
