Member Benefits

Marketing

The chamber of commerce is an excellent place to market your business. We are always searching for innovative ways to support our members. We can help market your products and services on our website and online directory as well as generate publicity through chamber activities, publications, and events.

Our bi-monthly e-newsletter is a great way to reach local businesses and community members. We can include 600px x 400px ads with links directed to your specified webpage.

Our Visitor Information Center (VIC) serves thousands of people each year who come in, call us, or visit our website. Members can display their brochures in the VIC, and our staff and volunteers will refer those who have questions to your company.

The chamber’s website is the busiest on Fidalgo Island with nearly 1 million page views each year! It hosts a business directory where your business will be listed (priority listings given to members). You’ll also receive your own business landing page with details about your business that directs visitors to your website, social media, or if you don’t have your own site yet you can offer products and services on ours with no additional cost to you.

Networking

Attend our next Business After Hours, a membership luncheon, or volunteer at a chamber event. You’ll have a good time, meet potential customers, and make business contacts. You can sign up to host or sponsor some of these events as well for even more publicity.

There are also opportunities to join our committees including the Ambassadors, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Government Affairs, Membership, and Tourism. Be active in our trade group committees also as a downtown retailer or marine trades business! You can get to know community members while you dive deeper into issues that are important to you or learn about others you may not know as much about. For more information or to join a committee please call or email us at (360) 293-7911 and info@anacortes.org.

Legislation & Partnerships

The chamber represents the business community on local and statewide issues. We maintain positive relationships with elected and appointed officials to ensure that issues that are important to our members and the community as a whole are recognized and addressed. We are also a member of the SCCEDA, which includes Skagit County chambers of commerce, SICBA, realtors, and EDASC.

Community groups such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Soroptimist, Eagles, Elks, Lions, Salvation Army, Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club, and others provide important collaboration. We can accomplish much more as a group than any business could on its own. The chamber is dedicated to building a strong community in which businesses can thrive and people’s quality of life is constantly improved.
