Opening day for an improved and easy-to-navigate trail to the top of Cap Sante is set for 10 am. Saturday, June 11. The event, to be held at the improved Rotary Park trailhead adjacent to the Anacortes Yacht Club, will include an “outdoor recreation fest” booths. Goups such as Friends of the Forest, OARS, Anacortes Waterfront Alliance, Senior Activity Center, Fidalgo Pool and the disc golf community showcasing their activities.
Come out and see how the Anacortes Rotary Viewpoint Trail looks with its new surface, directional signs and kiosks. Included in the June 11 activities are guided trail walks and a “poker run” with prizes taking walkers around downtown Anacortes. Hope to see you there.
